Beginners are always welcome!
We also welcome watching or trying a session before joining the club. If you want to try a class, please wear loose clothing such as sweat pants and a T-shirt if you don’t have a Gi. Membership is open to everyone at IU and to the general public. You do not need to be a student to join. Due to university insurance rules, members must be at least 18 years old to join. To join, just come to any regular practice and talk to the Instructor.
Fees
Club Dues: $40 / semester and $40 / summer for students and non students alike. Individuals may attend 6 free classes before being required to pay dues. Visiting Aikidoka will pay a $5 mat fee.
All Aikidoka ranked with the ASU must pay $45 annually for member dues and $45 per test for testing fees.
You are welcome to join the Bloomington Aikido club regardless of your race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation. You will be treated and respected as a human being.
Club Sports Facilities Passes
Club Sports Semester Facility Passes are now available for non-IU affiliated sports club members.
This pass is $100 and allows you to come into the RS Facility for up to 20 visits. The pass is then eligible for repurchase after 20 visits have been used. However, at the end of the semester, the pass will expire and unused visits will not roll over to a new semester.
To be eligible to purchase, you must be an active CSF Club member who has signed a waiver. (Note: you must sign a club waiver and complete the transaction prior to attempting to purchase the pass. If a waiver is not tied to your account, the pass will not show up.)
This pass may only be used for attending Club Sports practices and events. Non-club related use of the pass may result in suspension of access.
You may purchase the pass at the Member Services Desk in the SRSC or BGF.
